Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (2024)

Georgia landed a 5-star commitment earlier this weekend, and the Bulldogs are still recruiting several others.

Benjamin Wolk

Georgia has become a 5-star destination in the Kirby Smart era.

The Bulldogs aren't new to scrolling to the top of the 247Sports player rankings and finding several future standouts on the list. That theme kept going on Wednesday when the nation's No. 10 overall player and 5-star linebacker Zayden Walker committed to Georgia. The Bulldogs had been trending the right way in that really since the beginning of Walker's recruitment. Walker's commitment gave Georgia two 5-stars in the 2025 class, joining tight end Elyiss Williams.

The scary part: Georgia is just getting started.

Scanning the nation's top 32 prospects, there are still 10 out there that are in some way, shape or form is still getting recruited by Georgia.

In this article, Dawgs247 takes a look at the remaining possible 5-stars on the board for Georgia. Don't expect the Bulldogs to land them all, but they're likely to land more.

No. 3 overall: OT David Sanders

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (2)

Commitment status:Uncommitted

David Sanders has been one of Georgia's top overall recruiting prospects since long before full attention turned to the Class of 2025. Now that it's there, Georgia has revved it up a notch. He was last on campus a few weeks ago for the scavenger hunt. He will return for his official visit this upcoming weekend, and Georgia has played the card of inviting OL commit Mason Short — a close friend of Sanders' — on an unofficial visit to accompany him this weekend.

This will still be a fierce battle with Ohio State, Tennessee, and Clemson, but Georgia isn't going anywhere in this one.

Likelihood:Medium

No. 6 overall: CB Na'eem Offord

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (3)

Commitment status:Ohio State

Na'eem Offord has been a top want in Athens through multiple defensive back coaches. You don't find many defensive backs with the length and purse speed that Offord brings to the table. That's a big reason why Ohio State jumped on board early to land him. A few other programs, namely Oregon, are making a serious effort to flip him from the Buckeyes. Georgia has been fighting to get him back on a visit, and there have been indications he might take one during the season. Still, an uphill climb for Georgia in this one.

Likelihood:Low

No. 8 overall: DL Elijah Griffin

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (4)

Commitment status:Uncommitted

If you polled Georgia fans on who they wanted most in the 2025 class, Elijah Griffin would be a very popular response. The Savannah Christian (Ga.) defensive lineman is one of the best trench players in the cycle. He's been linked heavily to the Bulldogs since his eight grade year going into his freshman year. Tray Scott and Glenn Schumann have done an unmatched job in this recruitment. Griffin will take a few out-of-state officials this month, but he'll be at Georgia for an unofficial visit in June, too. The Bulldogs have long been seen as the team to beat.

Likelihood:High

No. 9 overall CB DJ Pickett

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (5)

Commitment status:Uncommitted

DJ Pickett is one of the more physically-gifted defensive backs in the 2025 recruiting class. Georgia has been a name that Pickett's mentioned throughout the entirety of his recruitment, but it's always felt like the Bulldogs were playing second-fiddle to a couple of his other contenders. We will find that out once and for all this upcoming weekend. Pickett will take his official visit to Georgia, which is expected to be his last trip to Athens before making a decision. If there were a sleeper in this recruitment, it would be Georgia, but the Bulldogs will be playing catchup.

Likelihood:Medium

No. 12 overall: DL Justus Terry

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (6)

Commitment status:USC

One of the two USC flip targets, Justus Terry was committed to Georgia for so long, it still feels weird to write USC commit. Georgia has gotten Terry back on campus at least twice since he flipped to the Trojans. Once, for a multi-day G-Day visit. Most recently, for his official visit last weekend. The Bulldogs had a lot of successful dialogue with Terry last weekend, and this is a recruitment that will be a battle until the end — or until Terry decides to flip back to Georgia, whichever comes first. Vibes are high coming out of Athens last weekend.

Likelihood:High

No. 17 overall: EDGE Isaiah Gibson

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (7)

Commitment status:USC

Isaiah Gibson fits a lot of the same commentary from the Terry post. Georgia was surprised when he wound up in USC's class out of the blue, but the Bulldogs made it clear they weren't going anywhere. Gibson attended the scavenger hunt in May. He returned for the official visit last weekend. This isn't going to be as easy of a flip back as once thought potentially, but Georgia is going to give USC a lot of trouble to sign him. There are a few other SEC programs that will receive official visits that should also be seen as threats. But Kirby Smart, Glenn Schumann and Chidera Uzo-Diribe are going to have to be told multiple times before they find down-the-board options.

Likelihood:High

No. 19 overall: EDGE Jared Smith

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (8)

Commitment status:Uncommitted

Jared Smith has visited Georgia on a couple occasions already this year, for a junior day early in the year and for a spring practice later on. At certain points in this recruitment, Georgia seemed like a potential favorite to land him. It's still not out of the question. But Georgia already has one big-time EDGE committed in Darren Ikinnagbon. There are a couple others, Gibson included, the Bulldogs are starting to trend in the right direction for, so at the time, it seems more likely Smith lands elsewhere. This weekend will help decide that for certain, however.

Likelihood:Low

No. 23 overall: DB Trey Mcnu*tt

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (9)

Commitment status:Uncommitted

Trey Mcnu*tt wasn't a name that's been super closely tied to Georgia during this process, but it should've been. He was one of the first players defensive coaches went to see during the spring evaluation period. Mcnu*tt visited Georgia for the scavenger hunt, and that was an unofficial visit, which means he still has the chance to take an official visit this summer or during the season. Mcnu*tt has given 247Sports the sense a visit to Georgia is very likely to happen, even though a date hasn't been confirmed. Plenty of other programs are in the mix here.

Likelihood:Medium

No. 24 overall: OL Solomon Thomas

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (10)

Commitment status:FSU

Georgia had been recruiting Solomon Thomas well before he committed to Florida State, and it hasn't stopped since, even though the Bulldogs have turned their attention to more realistic targets. Still, Thomas has mentioned Stacy Searels has someone that's kept in touch with him. Searels was down in Jacksonville at the end of the evaluation period to go see him, too. This isn't someone who has any plans to visit Georgia, or that we'd expect to wind up at Georgia, but he is a 5-star that the Bulldogs have continued to stay in touch with throughout the process.

Likelihood:Low

No. 32 overall: WR Derek Meadows

Which remaining 5-stars could Georgia sign in 2025 class? (11)

Commitment status:Uncommitted

Derek Meadows has seen his stock rise to lesser-known prospect to full-on 5-star this calendar year. He blew up the 7-on-7 circuit, and it's no surprise why. Meadows is a matchup nightmare. At 6-foot-5, he offers a frame that even some of Georgia's other big-bodied receivers don't in the 2025 class. Alabama and Notre Dame have been out in front for Meadows for the better part of the last few months. But don't sleep on Georgia just yet. Meadows will officially visit Athens this upcoming weekend, and that will be the Bulldogs final chance to make a run in this recruitment.

Likelihood:Medium
