Can you improve Spellbreaker? ›

Spellbreaker can be upgraded at a workbench with a Dwarven metal ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk, however, it does not benefit from any Smithing perks. This means the shield cannot be improved past flawless quality without boosting the Smithing skill over 100.

Additionally, the Spellbreaker Shield will count toward the achievement 'Oblivion Walker. ' To complete 'The Only Cure' quest, players must be at least level 12. As one of the series of Daedric quests in Skyrim, players should begin at the Shrine to Peryite, Northwest of Markarth, and interact with Kesh the Clean.

After killing the Orchendor, head back to the shrine. Activate the urn and the Daedric god will speak to you. After he has spoken, you'll obtain the Spellbreaker shield as a reward.
