Tips for the pan-seared honey balsamic cabbage steaks recipe
When sliced and pan-seared, cabbage steaks turns crunch tender, with crispy caramelized edges that add sweetness and delicious flavor. Don’t worry about the bitterness of cabbage, the sweetness of honey and balsamic will help offset the bitter flavors.
How to cut cabbage for cabbage steaks
- Remove any dark or loose leaves and start by cutting off the bottom end of the cabbage head. Then, place the newly flattened end onto your cutting board, so it’s stable.
- Cut the cabbage head from top to bottom, making 3/4- to 1-inch thick slices. Discard the small ends or keep for another recipe.
