The Marketing Analytics concentration focuses on learning skills necessary for using data to gather deeper consumer insights, optimizing marketing objectives and in general achieving a higher return on investment. This is done by finding patterns and valuable actionable insights from marketing data such as retail transaction data or social media platforms. Including identifying trends, analyzing customer feedback and understanding customer behavior to best target future marketing efforts for businesses to drive profitability.

The Operations and Supply Chain Management concentration focuses on using analytics to make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency and manage supply chain distribution for business across various domains and industries. Students who pursue this concentration learn to apply analytical concepts in diverse areas in supply chain industry such as integrated supply chain management, project management and inventory management to name a few.

The Finance and Risk Analytics concentration is recommended for students interested in using analytics to aide financial institutions by providing data-driven solutions for efficient risk management, profitable portfolio and insurance management with the use of advanced quantitative modeling techniques.

The Information Technology concentration focuses on learning key fundamentals of business system and network designs, use of information technology to optimize business outcomes and implementing best practices in the Cybersecurity domain.

The Data Science concentration focuses on advancing the knowledge of data analytics into more complex forms of statistical modeling for machine learning and artificial intelligence applications such as Generative AI, Natural Language Processing and Big Data technologies in business.

Students who pursue this concentration have the flexibility to apply their analytical knowledge and skills to diverse areas not limited to business domains of Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or IT, but also in areas of Litigation, Social Sciences, Sports Analytics and many more.
Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Capstone Course
All Business Analytics and AI students are required to complete a project-based capstone course (UTDsolv). Students work in teams to apply the skills and concepts they have learned throughout the program to complete a company-sponsored project. Their ability to apply what they have learned and explore new possibilities drives the success of the project. Students work directly with company sponsors, faculty members and their peers.
